These are wind mills for
electrical production and one slightly less modern one for water production.
Makes for an interesting snapshot of our changing technology doesn't it?
I now wish I'd gone ahead and jumped the rancher's fence and shot a bit
better perspective of the two. But respect for the rancher's property
prevailed.
Those are cows at the foot of the windmills, the more
modern ones I mean, and the turbine on each is about the size of a school
bus with a span on the blades of some 150 feet. As the blades spin,
they make this deep whoosh, whoosh sound that is most impressive.
